Engage and train available shelter dogs during their walks and life skills classes. Assist in playgroup handling and management. Train incoming volunteers as the instructor for the Shelter Dog Information Class – Part 2 of the orientation process. Mentor new volunteers to handle shelter dogs – Part 3 of the orientation process. Assist in adoption counseling, formerly called, "Home Review Squad" and post adoption support. Facilitate finding transfer partners for dogs in need. Coordinate and screen potential fosters for dogs going to transfer partners.
