I am SO grateful that my dog Naya and I got to work with Kiem! When searching for a trainer, I was interested in establishing a long-term relationship. For the year-plus we've worked together, Kiem has been the best partner in learning about and caring for my dog Naya. She is flexible, resourceful, and encouraging. She provides holistic training, education, and recommendations. Kiem made herself available for all manner of questions and issues, approaching each with an impressive amount of knowledge, creativity, and compassion. I really appreciated how she challenged some of my assumptions (no doubt held by many) about dog behavior and helped me understand Naya so much better.
In addition to the desensitization, behavior management, and other techniques she taught me during our sessions, she also gave me excellent written and video resources and product recommendations. Sometimes I'd casually mention an issue I assumed I'd just have to live with and was pleasantly surprised that she had an idea for every single one! And everything we discussed and worked on is compiled onto a running worksheet that I can refer to whenever I need.
I cried at our final session before Naya and I moved to LA because I knew our relationship with Kiem was so important for Naya's wellbeing. Naya's a happier and more confident dog and I'm a happier and more confident owner because of our work with Kiem. She's the best!

Kiem has been a total game changer for me and my two year old cattle dog pit mix, Wizard. Wiz and I had lost our confidence after a number of poor experiences and he was exhibiting consistent fear-based aggression and reactivity. At times I wondered if we would ever get to a place of ease in the world. Kiem took the time to get to know Wizard and to develop a relationship of trust—which she also did with me! With her help, I was able to learn to read Wizard’s body language so I could help us both feel safe in the world. In a relatively short period of time we were able to turn the situation around and I feel like I was able to unlearn so many of the misconceptions about dog training. Kiem helped me develop strategies I could use both inside and outside of the home and we even came up with a seamless protocol for introducing new people to Wizard. Sincerely, it feels like Kiem trained ME! Her resources are worth gold—as is her heart! I will be forever grateful, and highly recommend her services!

I heard only fabulous things about dog trainer Kiem Sie from Codornices Vet clinic as well as three other well acclaimed local dog trainers. However, Kiem far exceeded our expectations for what she could do for our former fearful and aggressive shiba inu. Kiem is an excellent listener, set realistic expectations for what we would likely accomplish and supported us through the process by giving us tangible techniques and feedback along the way. Although our shiba inu is sometimes still timid, she no longer lives in constant fear, is interactive and often playful and now rarely growls (which we've learned is not a terrible thing but a way our dog is communicating her dislike about something). We are SO beyond grateful for what she did for us. Without her guidance, we likely would have had to rehome our beloved dog. I couldn't recommend her more!

After an extensive search, Kiem came highly recommended to me for dog training. We met for a couple of months training my 1-yro dog, Millie. Millie was a complete 'covid-puppy' prior to training and had issues with recall, listening, and often was nervous around other dogs and people. After working with Kiem, Millie's temperament really mellowed out and she became an amazing listener. I learned so much about dog behavior and how to keep her mentally stimulated during our weekly sessions. One of the most valuable lessons I learned from Kiem was understanding dog aggression and learning how to keep Millie safe around other dogs. Above all, I'm most grateful for Kiem's extensive level of dog expertise - she trained my dog, me and also helped me better understand the world of dogs around me.
